Field note · demand evidence guardrail

Do not count likes as demand for an AI pricing kit.

MarginPulse is validating a CHF 19–49 worksheet kit for founders pricing LLM-backed features. This note documents the evidence rule before public distribution: useful asset first, concrete buyer signal second, revenue only after verified live payment or commitment.

The bottleneck

A calculator can look popular while producing no sales evidence. For MarginPulse, a view, bookmark, directory listing, or generic “cool tool” comment is not enough. The buyer job is specific: deciding whether an AI feature needs a plan-price change, usage cap, add-on, or fallback model.

The ledger therefore asks for evidence tied to a real pricing decision, not passive attention.

What counts

Validated demand signal

  • A reply names a real AI feature being priced.
  • A founder asks for the worksheet/template pack.
  • A message states willingness to pay or asks for checkout.
  • A live paid order is verified by the payment provider.

Not counted

  • Likes, upvotes, reposts, bookmarks, impressions.
  • Directory acceptance without buyer interest.
  • Test-mode checkout activity.
  • Generic praise with no pricing use case.
