2. Usage-cap policy starters
Soft cap: Your plan includes [X] AI actions per month. If usage is consistently above the included amount, we may contact you to move to a higher tier or add usage-based billing. Hard cap: Your plan includes [X] AI actions per billing month. After that, AI actions pause until renewal unless you upgrade or buy more usage. Fair use: Automated, abusive, or unusually intensive AI usage may be rate-limited to keep pricing fair and service reliable. Model tier: Standard AI actions use our default model. Higher-quality or longer-context actions may be limited to [Plan] or billed as add-ons because provider cost differs materially.
3. Launch checklist
- Current official vendor prices checked and entered.
- Baseline margin meets target at the public plan price.
- Heavy-user case has a cap, tier, add-on, or model fallback.
- Free trial has a usage limit or anti-abuse rule.
- Public copy does not promise unlimited AI unless unlimited usage is economically safe.
- Metrics exist to observe AI actions per account after launch.
4. Copyable pricing memo
After each calculator run, copy the generated pricing memo into your launch doc. If the memo says the plan is underwater or fragile, do not promise unlimited AI; choose a cap, tier, add-on, cheaper fallback model, or narrower feature scope before publishing plan copy.
5. Honest validation gate
Count only concrete replies, opt-ins, or purchase-intent messages asking for the worksheet/template pack. The checkout gate remains 10 concrete signals; no likes, impressions, fake scarcity, or fake proof.
